PostgreSQL has the excellent pgAdmin-tool for controlling the database but lacks GUI data-modeling utility?

I discovered this list: http://www.databaseanswers.org/modelling_tools.htm try not to have enough time to judge them.

Which would you recommend?

The MySQL work bench is really a fine modeling tool that's free, but you will need to customize the SQL it creates for PostgreSQL.

If you need to pay, ERWin is really a standard.

WWW SQL Designer is a superb lightweight modeling tool, also it supports PostgreSQL.

SQuirreL also appears nice, I've not attempted it though.

Commercial tools:

dbwrench

Embarcadero ER Studio

You could also wish to take a look at Energy*Architect.
