I am creating a custom options panel in Wordpress. Among the options Let me offers are a chance to add text and html towards the footer. I'm able to enter simple tags like, bold - however when you give a URL crazy stuff happens. Used to do some searching and located "stripslashes", alas that does not work either.

The code below is a component of the giant situation statement.

   <textarea cols="70" rows="5" name="<?php echo $value['id']; ?>" class="ainput" id="<?php echo $value['id']; ?>" type="<?php echo $value['type']; ?>" />
      <?php echo get_settings (stripslashes($value['id'])); ?>
   </textarea>

Figured it. STRIPSLASHES must first!

<textarea cols="70" rows="5" name="<?php echo $value['id']; ?>" class="ainput" id="<?php echo $value['id']; ?>" type="<?php echo $value['type']; ?>" />
          <?php echo stripslashes(get_settings($value['id'])); ?>
</textarea>
