Things I am attempting to accomplish in Apache HTTP server (httpd.conf) would be to redirect a person from the default page http://www.abc.com/ to https://www.abc.com/xxx?var1=1&var2=2 that also keeps FQDN intact.

How do you get this to operate in apache? Below is my config establishing httpd.cof which isn't working.

RedirectMatch 301 / https://%/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/DMCInitialPageCmd?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10051

  • around the IE browser, testing the url access. eg: test.abc.com, how do you properly display the hostname/fqdn? getting this response in the browser...

https://%25/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/DMCInitialPageCmd?langId=-1/storeId=10001/catalogId=10051?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10051

How's it failing? I do not believe that RedirectMatch recognized variable expansion (like %{HTTP_HOST})...with this, I typically use mod_rewrite:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^/$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/DMCInitialPageCmd?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10051 [R=301]
