I have been kidding around with z-index everywhere on this website. Things I want is to achieve the sidebar hidden beneath the curved header image. Here's the Wordpress site I am focusing on: http://evansvillechamber.org/wordpress/ and here's the way it looks in HTML and that we am attempting to replicate: http://www.evansvillechamber.org/. I attempted setting the sidebar to some - z-index and also the header and branding image both to high positive z-index, but nada. Also attempted moving the sidebar around within the index template. Every other ideas? Thanks!

Just give a position:relative to line 165 of the style.css file which should repair the problem.

Try adding "position:absolute" for your element. Something similar to this:

#primary {
    float: right;
    margin-left: 720px;
    position: absolute;
    z-index: 1999;
}

Please tell me if which works for you or otherwise. Thanks!

Ok, try adding "position:absolute" to #branding and adding margins to #primary:

#primary {
    margin-left: 900px;
    margin-top: 25px;
  }

#branding {
    position: absolute;
    z-index: 2000;
}
