In the beginning I made use of IIS server for PHP, so I am a new comer to Apache (Home windows platform). I'm in certain puzzle related to URL rewrite. As with my .htaccess file I personally use the below code for URL Rewrite.
Options +FollowSymlinks RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^(.*)\.aspx$ $1.php [nc]
If I browse b .perl page with .aspx extension, it really works well. eg Basically browse
world wide web.example.com/guwahati.php => www.example.com/guwahati.aspx (both URL works.)
However I need it instantly. Like basically type www.example.com/guwahati.php, it'll instantly become www.example.com/guwahati.aspx, is it feasible ? also URL rewritting isn't focusing on my localhost. may anybody assist me to please.

It's possible, but by utilizing redirect headers, not URL rewrites. Really you could do this an URL rewrite that redirects to some single file that replaces the prospective extension with aspx after which redirects into it. You may want to enable
mod_rewrite so as for this to operate.
