I run a number of different webapps utilizing the same Apache instance and a few of the bigger programs (using Django mostly) take 5-6 seconds for that first request per process, and just around 100ms per request after.

That startup time is principally just posting all of the code and creating the singleton instances. Apache redoes this since it forks the processes before it will the startup for that code, can there be in whatever way to possess Apache either fork after beginning all of my programs once in order to in some way cache the first condition of programs to ensure that subsequent online companies make the most of it?

I care mostly about Django using mod_wsgi on Apache2.2, but there might be more general ways to get it done.
