To describe further, I have to obtain a page to show posts from the specific category. I wish to automate this method and so i do not have to create a template for every category. Wouldso would I actually do that? (bear in mind the individual I am building to doesn't have coding experience.)
The only method I possibly could think removed from the top my mind is by using the title or slug. Therefore if the course is known as exactly the same factor because the slug, could I filter by category while using slug? Maybe this is not the easiest way... what must i do?
This is exactly what I emerged with, however it does not work, I am sure because of incorrect use on may part, but I have been flowing within the Wordpress codex and Google without any avail to inform me my problem.
<?php $paged = (get_query_var('paged')) ? get_query_var('paged') : 1; $args= array( 'orderby' => 'date', 'order' => 'ASC', 'paged' => $paged, 'category_name' => echo the_title('\'','\'',) ); query_posts($args); ?>
This wound up working:
<?php $paged = (get_query_var('paged')) ? get_query_var('paged') : 1; $page_slug = $post->post_name; $args= array( 'orderby' => 'date', 'order' => 'ASC', 'paged' => $paged ); query_posts($args); query_posts( 'category_name=' . $page_slug ); ?>
