I've got a URL that's being produced using GET variables from the form in PHP. The problem which i have is the fact that you will find two variables being passed. Here's a good example Hyperlink to clarify:

http://www.examplesite.com/example.php?first=one&second=two

I must make use of a mod_rewrite during my .htaccess to create mtss is a more compact URL. Ideally I'd like the URL...

http://www.examplesite.com/one

to have the ability to redirect fully URL...

http://www.examplesite.com/example.php?first=one&second=two

but as you can tell you will find two variables. Is possible? Otherwise, what's the least will be able to obtain the URL using both variables?

Here's my current make an effort to solve this having a mod_rewrite

RewriteEngine on

# don't rewrite if the file exists
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
# don't rewrite if the directory exists
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d

RewriteRule ^(.*)$ example.php?first=$1&second=$2

Do this:

RewriteEngine on

# don't rewrite if the file exists
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
# don't rewrite if the directory exists
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d

RewriteRule ^([^/]*)/([^/]*)$ /example.php?first=$1&second=$2 [L]
