I'm presently managing a new .Internet application with an Amazon . com instance. I like it, as it arrives with Home windows 2k8, IIS7 and SQL server pre-installed. However, it's costing a little, at about $90/month for any small instance, that is catagorized as:

"Small Instance (Default) 1.7 GB of memory, 1 EC2 Compute Unit (1 virtual core with 1 EC2 Compute Unit), 160 GB of local instance storage, 32-bit platform"

It is possible to cheaper alternative (VPS??) towards the above Amazon . com EC2 service? I'd prefer something individuals have had experience/success with, not always the grime least expensive available on the market.

Amazon's ECS2 is pricey but a great means to fix host your asp.internet websites.

If you are a bit technical, Home windows VPS is a lot more economical in comparison to CLOUD computing. A Couple GB Home windows VPS can cost you roughly $50 to $60 per month with SQL database (express or web edition).

Home windows 2008 R2 Edition servers, virtualized using Hyper-V are effective in partitioning your VPS from others. A few of the excellent companies for home windows vps hosting are solarvps, kickassvps, etc...

I am unsure this will not get erased because of not as being a programming question: BUT - I have really done very well with GoDaddy's Server 2003 instances, that are a smaller amount than 90/mo. They do not handle massive load, but they've been very stable for me personally.

I suggest that you employ the new AWS micro instances. Just test drive it by beginning your server AMI as micro instace.

We switched two small instances into it last Friday and delay pills work ideal for us.
