I installed virtualmin and phpmyadmin individually while using apt-get command. phpMyAdmin did not work due to Virtualmin's security configurations (suexec). After I visit mydomain.com/phpmyadmin, it might download the entire PHP page rather than carry it out. I attempted crippling suexec however it did not work. Now I wish to remove phpMyAdmin. I took it off while using apt-get remove command as well as erased the /etc/phpmyadmin folder. But nonetheless, after i visit mydomain.com/phpmyadmin, it downloads the page. It most likely means phpmyadmin wasn't completely erased.

What's the problem?

Try running these instructions for the reason that order, they are redundant but it is ok

sudo dpkg -P phpmyadmin
sudo rm -f /etc/apache2/conf.d/phpmyadmin.conf
sudo service apache2 restart

Try purge

sudo aptitude purge phpmyadmin

Unsure this works together with common apt-get though

I needed to run the next command:

sudo apt-get autoremove phpmyadmin

I Quickly removed my cache also it labored!
