I've got a simple navigation in wordpress setup and wish to highlight the pathways (just the first tree).

It really works great until you go to the ancestor page towards the top, all of the children within the navigation get outlined, too. Making sense from the code point but I'm not sure how you can eliminate it.

#nav li a:link,
#nav li a:visited,
#nav li a:active,
#nav ul.children li a:link,
#nav ul.children li a:active,
#nav ul.children li a:visited {
    display: block;
    border: 1px solid #d9dadb;
    color: #707172;
    text-decoration: none;
    padding:2px;
    margin-bottom: 15px;
}

#nav ul.children li a:link,
#nav ul.children li a:active,
#nav ul.children li a:visited {
    padding:2px 2px 2px 20px;
}

#nav li a:hover,
#nav li.current_page_item a:link,
#nav li.current_page_item a:visited,
#nav li.current_page_item a:active,
#nav li.current_page_item a:hover,
#nav ul.children li a:hover,
#nav ul.children li.current_page_item a:link,
#nav ul.children li.current_page_item a:visited,
#nav ul.children li.current_page_item a:active,
#nav ul.children li.current_page_item a:hover,
#nav li.current_page_parent > a:link,
#nav li.current_page_parent > a:visited,
#nav li.current_page_parent > a:active,
#nav li.current_page_parent > a:hover  {
    color: #fff;
    background: #32c076;
    border: 1px solid #29965d;
}

Interesting help!
