here's my problem:

I've got a static html site and under blog I've wordpress installed. Now I added a brand new database and installed another wordpress that actually works perfectly, but I wish to 301 redirect old .html pages to brand new ones in order to keep your links and ratings, but each time I attempt to alter the .htaccess file my wordpress totally crashes and I must re-install.

Among the finest to redirect dozen .html pages to new wordpress versions, example, I wish to redirect www.site.com/page.html to www.site.com/page/

Can someone point me within the right direction?

Thanks

The simplest method of doing this, is by using the redirection wordpress plugin for wordpress.

We tried on the extender whenever we converted a classic static site and delay pills work well and tracks the amount of hit's etc.
