Does "mysql_query() or die()" leave open mysql connection? My thought is it calls die() however it never calls mysql_close() around the connection...

Thanks.

In the mysql_close paperwork:

Using mysql_close() is not usually necessary, as non-persistent open links are instantly closed in the finish from the script's execution. See also clearing assets

Not a chance.
