I realize the worthiness in becoming upfront with apache whether something is really a file (e.g. /file) or perhaps a directory (e.g. /directory/) therefore it does not need to spend your time foreseeing it itself. However, when you are utilizing a URL rewrite for that pathways in your server and URL includes pathways that don't possess a matching directory/file structure, will it really matter when it comes to performance for those who have that trailing slash? I am using Drupal 6.x whether it matters.
