I'm a newcomer to jQuery, and I'm wondering if you can choose a div according to an image's source that's contained within? and take away the whole div whether it finds a case?

So within this example wouldso would I examine all div's having a class of thumbnail for image

src="http://demo.com/wordpress-content/styles/TheStyle/timthumb.php?src=&h=180&w=222&zc=1&q=90"

and remove individuals divs?

<div class="thumbnail">
    <a href="http://www.demo.com">
        <img src="http://demo.com/wp-content/themes/TheStyle/timthumb.php?src=&amp;h=180&amp;w=222&amp;zc=1&amp;q=90">
    </a>
    <div class="date">
        January 1st
    </div>
</div>

Make use of the [cde] selector.

:contains

or choose the $('div.thumbnail:contains(img[src="http://example.com/foo/bar"])').remove(); and employ [cde]:

<img>
