I can not determine where my Mac's apache installation files are (source files).

Doing which apachectl or which ab just shows me /usr/sbin/ and never the initial sources, will they even exist around the system or perhaps is it simply the put together binaries?

The finish goal for me personally would be to upgrade from 2.2.2 which i don't have any towards the latest version.

How do i do that? or can one fly out things i have finally and do the installation via homebrew.

Youll discover the headers in /usr/include/apache2. However wouldnt upgrade they systems apache. I'd use Homebrew, MacPorts, Fink, or perhaps a manual installation. By doing this it does not get amazed with a system update or break an addiction somewhere. Its most likely unlikely either of individuals happens, but who knows 100%.
