Fedora transformed to systemd now after i attempt to start httpd I recieve the mistake message
$ systemctl restart httpd.service Job failed. See system logs and 'systemctl status' for details.
After I try looking in /var/log/httpd/error_log I don't use whatever startup error messages. After I try looking in /var/log/messages I don't use whatever startup error messages. Where could they be? Should i enable a choice?
Didn't remember to include the next command response
$ systemctl status httpd.service httpd.service - LSB: start and stop Apache HTTP Server Loaded: loaded (/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd) Active: failed since Tue, 24 Jan 2012 23:32:37 +0000; 8min ago Process: 1061 ExecStart=/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd start (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE) CGroup: name=systemd:/system/httpd.service
Something that was written to straightforward output or standard error must have been delivered to
/var/log/messages automatically - that's standard
systemd behavior from F16 on.
httpd most errors will also be prone to happen to be delivered to
/var/log/httpd/error_log simultaneously that they are delivered to the console.
If you are still on F15 then situations are more difficult, and you'll most likely need to dodge
systemd to determine something that was delivered to the console because it does not capture the output towards the log. Set
SYSTEMCTL_SKIP_REDIRECT inside your atmosphere and begin
/etc/init.d/httpd start to determine them.
