I have got a WordPress site which includes pages drawn from the different database. The issue is these other pages return a 404 status code. (The WordPress posts/pages are fine.)

The 404'ed pages display fine, and that i removed the "Page not Found" text in the title tag in WordPress. But Googlebot and W3C begin to see the 404 header.

So: wow do you tell Apache to suppress a 404 status? And can Apache override WordPress's 404 header?

Does which make sense? The other info and things must i be searching at?

Can One suppress the status code inshtaccess and so i don't change Wordpress core files?

Edit:

Adding header('HTTP/1.1 200 OK') towards the non-Wordpress pages templates works.

You may either add custom rewrites for your pages. Or on top of web site files that wrap your other pages just output header('HTTP/1.1 200 OK').

Wordpress is PHP, so search for where it's delivering something similar to:

header("HTTP/1. 404 Not Found")
