I've got a WordPress blog on the test server at domain.com/testfoler/

I am attempting to create redirects around the subdomain folder, but I am not 100% sure how to get it done.

At this time, I place the .htaccess folder within the subfolder directory, however i weren't capable of getting the pages to redirect.

We've dynamic content saved in WordPress pages at this time. However I can't obtain the redirects to operate correct. Below may be the .htaccess file that's saved within the subdirectory - any help could be appreciated.

AddHandler php5-script .php
RewriteRule ^([^/]*)-([^/]*)-((foot|basket)(ball))-([^/]*)?-((p)[0-9]+)(/)?$ /wp-content/themes/magazine/player-profile.php?formmode=view&sport=$3&conference=$6&school=$2&player=$7&name=$1 [NC,L]

<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /

# BEGIN WordPress
 RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
 RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
 RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
# END WordPress
</IfModule>

Note - after i visit a sample page which should redirect, I recieve delivered to a 404 page around the primary folder (with a different WordPress installation). Shall We Be Held carrying this out improperly getting the redirects within an htaccess file within the subfolder having a base / - or perhaps is there another thing I am doing incorrect?
