I have to export about 300,000 rows from the table on MS SQL server and import into mysql on the different server (non home windows). There's some text saved in certain fields and commas within the text will screw up the format basically export into txt format.
I can not install any software around the server.
I am confident you are able to connect with MySQL from SSIS. I'd go lower that route.
You might have a number of options:
- use SSIS or DTS Wizard on another host to interconnect MSSQL and MySQL
- write your personal small application to maneuver the information
- script the MSSQL DB's DATA into script file with SSMS' scripting features, adopt the script by hand to mysql and run it
