I simply finished spinning a substantial part of my site using python's django, however i also provide some legacy code in php which i haven't finished moving over yet. Can you really get both of these focusing on exactly the same domain and when so, how do you start doing the work?

I am running this website on the virtual Ubuntu instance and serving content up via apache. I am also using mod_wsgi to hook in to the python content.

One simplification would be that the whole site, aside from one sub-directory, runs off python. Let us say for arguments sake that my php code reaches http://www.mysite.com/myphpapp/.

Essentially you need to configure apache to make use of the default handler for that path hosting your legacy code, usually adding a <directory> or <location> section for your apache site config.

Something similar to:

<Location "/legacy">
    SetHandler None
