I've got a website say http://www.example.com/ within the cause of this site, I've added .htaccess file to redirect any request of http://example.com/ to http://www.example.com/

Lately I've produced a brand new section "Videos" therefore the URL for videos is http://www.example.com/videos/ . Within this video folder I've another htaccess file that is carrying out spinning for video records. After I am attempting to access http://example.com/videos/ then it's not redirecting me to http://www.example.com/videos/

I believe .htacces isn't getting the prior rules in the parent directory. Can anybody please let me know what could possibly be the rule I'm able to include the .htaccess file of /videos/ folder to ensure that any request http://example.com/videos/ is going to be rerouted to http://www.example.com/videos/ URL.

It might be that the existing rule is simply too strict, and isn't getting triggered inside your subdirectory due to this. Something similar to this will work place-wide:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /

RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^example\.com$
RewriteRule ^(.*) http://www.example.com/$1 [R=301]
