Any idea how you can sort category by its creation date in word press.

Thanks ahead of time

Last I checked, a phrase or taxonomy's creation date wasn't saved any place in the Wordpress schema. That details are only accessible for posts... As well as then, you simply possess the modified_date:

CREATE TABLE `wp_posts` (
  `ID` bigint(20) unsigned NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT,
  `post_author` bigint(20) unsigned NOT NULL DEFAULT '0',

really I am unsure if category includes a creation date but when you order by id, you need to get exactly the same result.

get_categories(array('orderby'=>'id','order'=>'ASC'));
