Hi stackoverflow community!

Appreciate maintaining an excellent community here. I've examined the numerous questions published here associated with .htaccess, apache, mod-rewrite and regex, but I am simply not setting it up. I attempted a couple of various things but either I'm over further complicating things or making beginner mistakes. Regardless, I have been in internet marketing a couple of days now and also have completely scrambled things somewhere because the 10000 404's daily are showing.

My website

I've got a WordPress site which consists of over 23,000 posts divided into approximately 1200 groups. The website features streaming video clips, industry news, show reviews, movies, phpbb forums, etc. and it is structured such as this:

  • site / base groups ( along with a-z) / sub groups (series title) / posts (episode title .html )for those movies online episodes
  • site / movies / publish title.html for those streaming movies
  • site / news / posttitle.html
  • site / reviews / posttitle.html
  • site / page.html for several pages
  • site / forums

Permalink structure is /%category%/%postname%.html

I've am while using Yoast Wordpress Search engine optimization wordpress plugin and also have the choice to append a trailing slash enabled for sites and groups.

this is actually the current .htaccess

    # BEGIN WordPress
    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /index.php [L]

    # END WordPress

My good examples

From your old site structure we've many backlinks using "/episode title/". This really is wrong. We want these incoming links to redirect to /watch-anime/letter, number or symbol only one character lengthy/series title/episode title.html

    EX: /one-piece-episode-528/ should be /watch-anime/o/one-piece/one-piece-episode-528.html

An error I made triggered this issue... "/watch-anime/letter/series title/episode title/" to "/watch-anime/letter/series title/episode title.html". So, we have to remove trailing slash from single posts and add .html

    EX: /watch-anime/w/welcome-to-the-nhk/welcome-to-the-nhk-episode-14/ should be /watch-anime/w/welcome-to-the-nhk/welcome-to-the-nhk-episode-14.html

Exactly the same mistake triggered this issue when combined with old site structure problem... "/episode title.html" must be "/watch-anime/letter/series title/episode title.html"

EX: /one-piece-episode-528.html needs to be /watch-anime/o/one-piece/one-piece-episode-528.html

As you can tell, I have designed a mess of things between moving the websites publish structure and my tries to repair it. I'm now requesting any assist you to can offer to get an effective .htaccess file which will take proper care of these 301 redirects.

Thank you for any assistance you are able to provide!
