I've got a wordpress multi-site:

site1.local.loc [with subdomains on my small local] and I must have three pages about this.

site1.local.loc/works - (posts page, however i want 'Works' as my title)

site1.local.loc/about - (static page)

site1.local.loc/contact - (static page)

Since 'Works' is my posts page where I keep investing in content, I transformed my permalinks with this site to:

/works/%postname%/

However, when hitting 'view post' in the finish of posting anything, it leads me to some '404' page meaning there's a disconnect. This is the situation for viewing any page. Is my .htaccess file faulty?

How do you solve this? Also how do you make my posts come in my 'Works' page (as with, steps to make that page the posts page?)

Thanks!

Up-to-date: I have discovered which i obtain a 404 for just about any page which i create for any site inside a wordpress network.

Produce a category known as "Works" that will then show all posts additionally category simply by likely to /works/ all posts would then be proven as /works/publish-title/.

You will have to alter the permalink structure to /%category%/%postname%/

You don't have to the touch .htaccess file.

Create a custom publish type that's known as works. All individuals posts made for the reason that custom publish type may have that url that you want. There's not one other method of doing it. (even when there's, it should be dirty) That's celanest way, and also, since wordpress will it alone you may expect that there is little fail wnen you update, install plug ins, etc.
