I've got a domain title: designfrags.com where I have installed WordPress.

So, I am using www.designfrags.com to complete blogging.

But, inside this domain, I've got a directory named 'as' (meaning 'as' is really a sub-directory). I am in a position to access this website while using URL: http://designfrags.com/as but unable to access while using 2 following Web addresses:

http://www.designfrags.com/as
http://as.designfrags.com

Can someone help me ? The problem might be associated with WordPress or .htaccess file - but I'm not sure what it's.

Listed here are the items in my .htaccess file:

# BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
   Options +FollowSymLinks
   RewriteEngine On
   RewriteBase /
   RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
   RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
   RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule>
# END WordPress

It was produced by WordPress however i since i have have little concept of how .htaccess works, I'm helpless.

Thanks ahead of time for that help!

First of all, you will not have the ability to can get on at abcabc.xyzxyz.com, as it is a subfolder not really a subdomain.

You need to have the ability to can get on via www.xyzxyz.com/abcabc - several reasons why you would not:

  • the alias www is not planned inside your domains' DNS
  • an issue with your .htaccess - edit your original question, including the items in your .htaccess file, and we'll attempt to help

Update

So, knowing your domain title, I can tell that there's no www inside your dns. You have to add (or request your host to include www like a CNAME solving for your hostname. Something similar to this:

www 14400 IN CNAME designfrags.com
