I've a current application built on Zend, the consumer registration system could be either via facebook connect or email/password registration. I must integrate Wordpress (particularly bbpress), however do less than understand how to handle the consumer authentication. I don't want to possess a seperate login for that forum/blog - there seems to become some plug ins which permit exterior database authentication - this could work fine EXCEPT some customers may have registered with facebook and therefore not were built with a password set. I understand that you will find some facebook connect plug ins for wordpress, if however these were used this could essentially produce a new user around the wordpress side.

Has other people faced this? and an amount you suggest? Ideally I'd like in some way to possess customers login through the current application, after which auto-login towards the wordpress section?
