Im using joomla 1.6 so when I create articles restricted to registered customers, it dissapears in the parent category because of not registered (or otherwise drenched in) customers.

It is possible to method to show only the article title to the user, then when he attempts to notice display a registration window ?

J1.6 doesn't provide you with treatments for what areas of an element to exhibit to various user levels, only set up user level can access the component whatsoever. To be able to accomplish what you would like you'll either need one more component, or even via a template override. You'd have to alter the permissions for articles to become available to the general public adding inside a little code towards the template to cover content unless of course a person is drenched in.

Create a copy of joomla16/components/com_content/sights/article/tmpl/default.php and set it in joomla16/templates/YOUR TEMPLATE/html/com_content/article/default.php. Adding this code:

STUFF YOU WANT ALL USERS TO SEE
<?php $user =& JFactory::getUser();
if ($user->guest) {
    echo "<p>You must be logged to see this content</p>";
} else {
STUFF YOU DONT WANT ALL USERS TO SEE
} ?>

Used to do a fast test with this particular code and delay pills work pretty much. http://internextion.com/joomla16/

Type in customers manager, visit options up ahead as well as in the Customers Configuration look into the guest group. Should be public.
