I'm trying to setup an online host for my local development setup for wordpress using xampp.

I wish to have the ability to develop using this site url, to ensure that I do not have to keep mucking around with renaming all of the web addresses every time i have to push an update for that website as much as the live server.

I've got the majority of this working, however i am getting an issue. I'm able to load the primary page of my website, however it i attempt to navigate holiday to a page, I recieve an "internal server error". the apache log files show the next error:

[Mon Jan 02 19:01:09 2012] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use 'LimitInternalRecursion' to increase the limit if necessary. Use 'LogLevel debug' to get a backtrace., referer: http://www.imageworkshop.com/

This is exactly what i've during my httpd-chosts.conf file:

#
# Virtual Hosts
#
# If you want to maintain multiple domains/hostnames on your
# machine you can setup VirtualHost containers for them. Most configurations
# use only name-based virtual hosts so the server doesn't need to worry about
# IP addresses. This is indicated by the asterisks in the directives below.
#
# Please see the documentation at
# <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/vhosts/>
# for further details before you try to setup virtual hosts.
#
# You may use the command line option '-S' to verify your virtual host
# configuration.

#
# Use name-based virtual hosting.
#
NameVirtualHost *:80

<VirtualHost *:80>
DocumentRoot "C:/xampp/htdocs"
ServerName localhost
ServerAlias localhost
</VirtualHost>

<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerAdmin user@imageworkshop.com
DocumentRoot "C:/xampp/htdocs/imageworkshop"
ServerName www.imageworkshop.com
ServerAlias www.imageworkshop.com
ErrorLog "C:/xampp/logs/imageworkshop-dev.log"
LogLevel debug
CustomLog "C:/xampp/logs/imageworkshop-dev.log" combined
LogLevel debug
</VirtualHost>

I am confused as to the could be leading to the problem. any suggestions on which I'm able to do to try and resolve this?
