I'm using mod rewrite on the Joomla site to rewrite certain web addresses. It really works well except it's damaged my website search functionality.

It is primarily the rule that appears to become the issue, it redirects index.php to my website root.

RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^[A-Z]{3,9}\ /index\.php\ HTTP/
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ http://life-academy.com.au/ [R=301,L]

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]

This redirects the search function straight to the house page without showing the outcomes.

The url I have to allow is (with no specific search query)

http://life-academy.com.au/index.php/component/search/my%20search%20query?ordering=&searchphrase=all

This is actually the site whether it helps Life Academy

I additionally found this SOF article but could not see how to use it to my situation. Post

Thank you for any help Nik
