I have attempted to locate an response to this, but to date I have been not able to. Let me redirect all demands to some given road to a particular file. Here's what I presently use:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^.*$ /things/stuff/index.php

This effectively redirects all demands for http://server/things/stuff/whatever/whatever to http://server/things/stuff/index.php and get up using the world. The problem is available in when Let me deploy this to ensure that /things/stuff might reside in say http://server/~user/things/stuff/, I'm able to rewrite the htaccess to take into account /~user/, but I am wishing there's a far more generic rule which will work in accordance with wherever my directory tree lives rather than needing to have a lot of slightly different htaccess files.

Any suggestions?
