I needed to make switch to my directory path in many posts. I made the decision to export the DB and perform a find/replace to makew the alterations. However when I imported the DB back i acquired the mistake
1064 - You possess an error inside your SQL syntax
which It becuase of mt charset lacking the knowledge of them ampersand &lifier amplifier
How do i import this
You haven't given many details within the question but I'd recommend the next approach:
- Restore out of your last backup
- Take a look at MySQL's REPLACE() function. It will have the ability to do your find/replace work all within the database
It could help should you first alter the file from utf-8 to iso-8859-1 having a command line program.
Begin a command line session and alter directory so you're in your directory this file is within and go into the command
iconv -cs -f UTF-8 -t ISO-8859-1 utf8.txt > iso.txt
If you don't get access to a linux command line use google to locate a home windows approach to convert between utf8 and iso character sets.
I've got a blog with the reply to this error code at http://www.devblogging.com/2011/06/22/wordpress-mysql-dump-script-error-error-1064-42000/
