I am attempting to use ant to compile by using this command :
I'm not sure when the problem originates from my home windows 64bit, or by another thing. Because I've java Set up in the 64 &lifier 32 prog files.
apache-ant-1.8.2-bin and putted it in C:Program Filesapache-ant-1.8.2
I attempted to place ant everywhere, I switched even the ENV PATH between java 64 and 32 but each time I recieve this error message :
Not able to discover tools.jar. Likely to think it is in C:Program FilesJavajre6libtools.jar
I looked for tools.jar within the ant lib folder, within the java 64 and 32, but no trace from it within the system.
What is your opinion ?
A JRE does not possess a tools.jar, you'll need a JDK. Set your JAVA_HOME and PATH variables, to ensure that they indicate a JDK, not really a JRE.
Is the envirionment variable
Please do this inside your console and publish output:
Please make certain that you're pointing to JDK and never a JRE. For instance, you need to set JAVA_HOME as "C:Program Filesjavajdk1.6._26" and also have %JAVA_HOME%bin in your body path.
I needed to copy C:Program FilesJavajdk1.6._26libtools.jar to C:Program FilesJavajre6libext
tools.jar includes JDK, but what goes on inside your situation it searches for it within /Java/jre6. Change JAVA_HOME env var to your JDK home.
