I've built a Spring 3 MVC driven Peaceful web service application. I personally use Maven 2 to handle the applying lifecycle including packaging in the WAR for distribution. Included in the finish solution, I filter application demands through Apache to deal with a few of the GET demands for static content. This obviously mandates that I've several custom designs in Apache configuration files.

My real question is this, I must package and version these Apache designs with ( not inside) the WAR, it is possible to clean method of doing this? (using maven?)

Presently, the configuration changes are simply incorporated as installation instructions.

I'd put such files inside a devoted module (having a pom packaging) and employ the Maven Set up Wordpress plugin to produce a .zip archive to become unzipped around the target machine(s) which would participate the delivery.

Labored pretty much previously.
