I am getting an issue with Wordpress-PageNavi plus some code that develops a webpage which has two posts of various category posts. PageNavi appears to find yourself in trouble on page one of those posts, It may have something related to the permalink structure but I am unsure ways to get round the problem.

Thanks

your query within this line:

<div class="box"><?php query_posts('showposts=5'); ?><?php $hol = 1; ?>

is missing the pagination parameter: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/WP_Query#Pagination_Parameters

try:

<div class="box"><?php $paged = (get_query_var('paged')) ? get_query_var('paged') : (get_query_var('page') ? get_query_var('page') : 1 ); query_posts('showposts=5&paged=' . $paged); ?><?php $hol = 1; ?>

(this might look a little complicated, but merely offers either 'paged' or 'page' within the link of paginated pages)
