I getting this strange problem with my development server. I've an install of Wordpress around the server. After I attempt to login towards the dashboard I recieve a download known as 'download.gz'. Strange because it is the transaction really will get processed if I attempt to get involved with the dashboard by hand I'm able to. It will get stranger, I'm able to navigate pretty effortlessly except after i try to publish content. Ill hit the publish button after which it'll download a php file. I checked out the file, and fortunately it is not the particular file but a compressed version. From the file or data, I don't know.

After I have my development tools open I consider the console also it provides me with an alert. This is actually the exact verbiage.

Resource construed as Document but moved with MIME type application/x-gzip.

I've virtually washed all my .htaccess files except one out of root.

RewriteEngine On

RewriteBase /

RewriteCond $1 !^dev/
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ dev/$1 [L]

Your directory Im employed in is

www.domain.com/dev/client/xxx

The browser veiws it as being

www.domain.com/client/xxx

Im speculating it could have something related to how a response in the PHP is coming back, because the only time that it performs this behavior happens when the request is distributed via JavaScript.
