I am looking to get a post's "pretty link" while using prli_get_link($slug) method.

Issue is, In my opinion that's coming back an assortment, and I am not verse in PHP.

And So I think I am searching for something similar to this:

prli_get_link($slug)[]

Any advice?

i did not not understand what you're speaking about but generaly do this code to determine the creation of just about anything in php

var_dump(prli_get_link($slug));

PHP's parser does not allow direct array references on function returns, so

prli_get_link($slug)[0]

is really a syntax error. You need to assign for an intermediate variable rather:

$link_array = prli_get_link($slug);
$first_item = $link_array[0];
