I am attempting to move my WordPress to a different server and domain.
- I downloaded the entire file on old server to my computer after which submitted it towards the new server.
- I released all tables within the database and imported these to the brand new database server.
- I edited wordpress-config.php by setting the brand new value inside it.
- I transformed some posts within the new database to my new domain title.
After I visit my new website, I see problems. I can not access this site advertisements popping like "download application/x-httpd-php"
How do i fix this?
Your brand-new server is not set up to render PHP correctly. That's why it's attempting to give back the PHP file rather than running it.
You will find much simpler methods to move your wordpress site to a different host/domain. I've been carrying this out for some time, usually it takes only me under an hour or so, with respect to the size the web site. All done instantly simply by cloning the entire wordpress site
