I'm battling to learn how to align icons right from the primary column in this article: http://carolineelisa.com/wordpress/

It appears the best three icons are forcing this content area fully width, to ensure that the best hands side icons drop underneath the left column.

Any strategies for accomplishing this with CSS? I'd rather not need to wreck havoc on the templates of functions.php file to maneuver the very best icons to their own div.

Thanks!

You need to put the two right side divs prior to the publish divs.

<div id="content" class="hfeed content">
<div id="primary" class="sidebar aside">

This rather

<div id="primary" class="sidebar aside">
<div id="content" class="hfeed content">

Try placing your inside

<div id="content" class="hfeed content">
<div id="utility-before-content" class="sidebar utility">
<div id="primary"></div>
<div id="post-49" class="hentry post publish post-1 odd author-admin sticky category-news">
...

It appears CSS won't suffice within this situation...

Thanks @Frost and @Justin Lucas for the suggestions. For my exact needs it appears that I have to slowly move the best three icons from the #content div and put them above.

Now the HTML appears like this:

<div id="feature" class="widget widget_text widget-widget_text">
<div id="feature" class="widget widget_text widget-widget_text">
<div id="feature" class="widget widget_text widget-widget_text">
<div id="content" class="hfeed content">
<div id="primary" class="sidebar aside">

For anybody who might be interested, Used to do this by developing a new sidebar aspect in my child theme (of Hybrid) with the addition of the next towards the functions.php file:

register_sidebar( array(
    'name' => 'Features',
    'id' => 'id-of-widget-area',
    'before_widget' => '<div id="feature" class="widget %2$s widget-%2$s">',
    'after_widget' => '</div>',
    'before_title' => '<h3 class="widget-title">',
    'after_title' => '</h3>'
) );
add_action( 'hybrid_before_container', 'my_widget_area', 20 );

function my_widget_area() {
    dynamic_sidebar( 'id-of-widget-area' );
}
