I am attempting to update an internet site for any friend around the Joomla Content management systems. A developer was configuring it after which bolted, now I am attempting to finish upgrading the website for him.

I'm a new comer to Joomla and haven't any developer knowledge about it (I personally use Wordpress). Presently the problem I'm getting is the fact that after i place a picture while using editor, Joomla resizes the look right into a thumbnail format, after which places it within the top left corner of the site (instead of within the publish where it's suppose to become).

I have attempted using relative url for that image, and absolute url's to link straight to the look without any luck.

The one thing I do not understand though is the fact that I've got a Paypal image that shows fine, however the image that's located in joomla will not appear properly.

Here's the sample code:

<table>
<tr>
<td><img src="http://worldofchaisson.com/images/chaisson.png" alt="Rise of Chaisson on DVD" /></td>
<td>

    <form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post">
    <input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_s-xclick">
    <input type="hidden" name="hosted_button_id" value="4EPQ2WR7UCD6L">
    <input type="image" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_buynowCC_LG.gif" border="0" name="submit" alt="PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online!">
    <img alt="" border="0" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/scr/pixel.gif" width="1" height="1">
    </form>
    </td>
    </tr>
    </table>

Pretty self explanitory. 2 column table. first column has got the picture of the DVD that's being offered, and also the second has got the paypal purchase code/url. In almost any other atmosphere it might work perfectly.

Here's the web site so that you can see what I am speaking about: http://www.worldofchaisson.com/

Any help could be great. Please bear in mind though that i'm unfamiliar with the expansion atmosphere in Joomla, so somewhat detailed explanations is going to be useful. Thanks!

Has other people had an problem such as this?

@Ian,

Joomla doesn't natively re-size images. So that your developer should have installed a wordpress plugin that's carrying this out. You may decide to determine which extensions are installed.

Or see what editor you're using as it might possess a setting for resizing images. Automatically Joomla has got the editor off. But TinyMCE can be obtained to customers so that you can look into the configurations for your too. Probably the most effective editor for Joomla however is: http://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/ which enables for a lot of formatting control although it does have a price.

Cheers, Chris
