I've got a client from hell... this really is my problem:
I've a credit card applicatoin located on: "foo.com", I publish a note around the user wall, after which (clearly) it shows the site domain where the application published.
My client from hell ("bar.com") does not want the "foo.com" domain to become show within the wall publish, such as this:
My client has seen that after foursquare (mobile application) publish to some customers wall, the domain (foursquare.com) does not show on the wall publish, such as this:
And that he wants that because: "it needs to be possible" (he kinda includes a point, in the own evil way).
Can there be in whatever way to acomplish this? (he does not are interested a safe and secure domain/hosting)
I am by using this code:
$arguments = array(
'message' => 'my message',
'link' => FACEBOOK_PAGE_TAB_URL,
'description' => 'The description',
'picture' => FACEBOOK_Logo design
$this->facebook->api('/me/feed', 'post', $arguments)
As you are while using feed API endpoint, you're developing a Publish using the API. As your Publish consists of a hyperlink, Facebook is exhibiting the domain for your hyperlink. So far as I will tell, there's not a way to programmatically produce a Publish having a hyperlink and never get it display a website.
If it is crucial that
foo.com 't be proven, you can either make certain the hyperlink comes from
bar.com, or make use of the Feed Dialog to permit the consumer to publish the storyline to their personal wall.
I suspect that why the screenshot from the Foursquare publish doesn't display a website is because are utilizing the mobile version from the Feed Dialog, as recommended in Facebook's documentation.
