The below code shows my selected page, its content and shortocde properly. The page is chosen from the theme options panel within the Wordpress Admin.

I'm battling to echo the title. Right now it's echoing all page game titles. Any help much apreciated!

     $blockwho = get_option('good_blockwho');
     $homeblockwho = get_pages ('post_name='.$blockwho); ?>

<?php foreach ($homeblockwho as $hbw) {
     $content = $hbw->post_content;
     $title = $hbw->post_title;
     apply_filters('the_content', $content);

     echo "<h2><span>".$title."</span></h2>";
     echo "".do_shortcode($content)."";

Many thanks!

First of all I would suggest storing the particular page/publish ID within the options table as opposed to the title from it, you are able to still display page game titles towards the user, simply have a dropdown box using the option values as IDs

Perhaps you have checked $page->ID from j-man86's response is really coming back the right ID?

Presuming the saved choice is a webpage ID as opposed to a page title, the next works

$page = get_page(get_option('good_blockwho'));
$title = $page->post_title;
$content = apply_filters('the_content', $page->post_content);

based on the Codex :

"publish_title" isn't a disagreement for get_pages, it is a possible value for "sort_column".

Try the next:

global $post;
$blockwho = get_option('good_blockwho');
$page = get_page_by_title($blockwho);

$myposts = get_posts('post_type=page&p='$page->ID);
foreach($myposts as $post) :

    <?php the_title(); ?>

<?php endforeach; ?>

to echo the title of the singular wordpress page, you need to do this wordpress function

<?php the_title() ?>

you may also surround it with a few html for css formatting like follows->

<h2><?php the_title() ?></h2>

best of luck
