I'm moving my cakephp website from the old server to rackspace. I'm able to load this site fine but all of the CSS and JS is damaged. I am unsure whether it's a Cake setting I am over searching or perhaps a Rackspace setting I am over searching. I've my cake install in

/var
/www
/rp
/app
/cake
etc
etc

This is actually the error I see whenever I restart apache. Something is not arranging. Please, tell me if I have to provide every other information to assist resolve this problem. Thanks!

  • Restarting web server apache2 Warning: DocumentRoot [/var/www/application/webroot] doesn't exist apache2: Couldn't dependably determine the server's properly accredited domain title, using x.x.x.x for ServerName ... waiting Warning: DocumentRoot [/var/www/application/webroot] doesn't exist apache2: Couldn't dependably determine the server's properly accredited domain title, using x.x.x.x for ServerName ...done.

When the DocumentRoot isn't specified by apache2.conf, it defaults to /var/www However, It's my job to prefer to place it during my vhosts file. Make certain your vhost file is incorporated. For instance:

Include /private/etc/apache2/extra/httpd-vhosts.conf

One particular vhost file is the following:

NameVirtualHost *
<VirtualHost *>
        ServerName www.abc.com
        ServerAlias www.abc.com
        DocumentRoot /var/www/rp/app/webroot/
        ErrorLog /var/log/apache2/abc.log
        <Directory /var/www/>
                Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews
        AllowOverride All
        Order allow,deny
        allow from all
        </Directory>

</VirtualHost>
