I'm tugging georss data from feeds and protecting them onto my map with Google Maps Geoxml. How do you replace the default markers that show up on these map overlays? Presently they're default blue hooks but I must replace it with some thing right for my theme.

I'm focusing on a roadmap for any Wordpress childtheme particularly while using Geo Mashup Wordpress plugin.

Any assistance is much appreciated!

Since you are using google maps api V3, use geoxml3.(http://code.google.com/p/geoxml3/)

the initial geoxml is perfect for google maps v2.

You should use any markers you would like by indicating the "markerOptions" within the "geoXML3.parser Options" see: http://code.google.com/p/geoxml3/wiki/ParserReference

Hope this can help.

Do this:

var customIcon = new GIcon();
customIcon.image = "./images/customPin.png";
customIcon.shadow = "./images/customShadow.png";
customIcon.iconSize = new GSize(12, 20);
customIcon.shadowSize = new GSize(22, 20);
customIcon.iconAnchor = new GPoint(6, 20);
customIcon.infoWindowAnchor = new GPoint(5, 1);

Just help but I have found this only works best for data points drawn from your blog. I'm particularly attempting to change markers on GGeoxml overlay maps that pulls geodata using their company nourishes. Any other ideas? – thisisangelng

It appears such as the default ballon icon can't be transformed. Havent found standard for indicating icon in geoRSS. What going to change rss to kml?
