I am setting a brand new virtual machine (Home windows 7) located on another Home windows 7.
I wish to setup an Apache atmosphere within this virtual machine and that i want DocumentRoot to stay in host machine (to ensure that they use my schedulled backup copies along with other stuff). WMWare allows you add host shared folders from inside an online machine as network models, therefore i can easily see them in in home windows explorer as "Z:myfoldername" (that is really a folder of host machine), however when I set Apache DocumentRoot as "Z:myfoldername" it will not start, I see a mistake
Syntax error on line 178 of C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/conf/httpd.conf: DocumentRoot must be a directory
(ServerRoot remains in virtual machine)
In host machine I set all permissions to any or all customers...
Is easy to do? How?
Finally I made Apache run under current user rather than like a Service under Local System because the problem was that Local System did not possess a network unit known as Z:.
