I'm attempting to install ReCaptcha in to the user registration of Joomla 1.5. This might be an problem with Joomla however when i hit register nothing happens. I believe it's doing a bit of JavaScript form validation but there's nothing telling the consumer what went wrong. if, God forbid, they are doing complete the shape properly Joomla will redirect the consumer towards the home page and provide no notice of success.

Is a Joomla problem or perhaps is there a problem with my install? Does anybody are conscious of a plug-in or module for Joomla that will get this to simpler?

Thanks ahead of time,
Samuel

UPDATE: Joomla does lots of "stuff"/"something" towards the $_Publish and $_GET variables that was leading to the reCaptcha not to function. It was for work that is past so I'm not investing any longer time onto it. Shameless Plug: use wordpress rather.

this is often closed when i do not have time for you to verify which answer works

Are you certain you attempted all reCaptcha plug ins for Joomla? You will find plenty:

Are you certain that no error is displayed ? Iam utilizing it with a few php programs, the mistake is within the "BOX".

Try the city builder component, module.

If by 'nothing happens' you mean the customer stays around the registration page and does not advance, look into the JavaScript error log for the browser and be sure that the fatal error is not keeping the shape from being posted. Should you imply that the page does advance and it makes sense a totally blank page, there might be a PHP error being experienced, and you've got errors not openly displayed. Log in to the hosting server and check out the PHP log to ascertain if there's any fatal errors turning up.

I highly recommend using mollom/moovum. It really works with registration and also the beautiful factor is the fact that it's not necessary to hack any files while customers is only going to notice your protection if there's doubt or junk e-mail.

Make certain your template consists of the content tag to show messages towards the user regarding effective or not successful sign ups (amongst other things!)
