I've got a database that consists of several schemas in SQL Server 2008 R2. All schemas retain the same tables. Now I wish to have the ability to restore a backup of just one schema, while departing another schemas how they are.
I am searching for something equal to using
pg_restore --schema="schemaname" in PostgreSQL. Can there be in whatever way I'm able to do that in SQL Server?
MSSQL does not possess a posibility to backup/restore only one schema. You are able to still perform partial backup of the database by grouping tables of 1 schema to some specific filegroup making a filegroup backup.
