Essentially, I wish to have two posts Wordpress the first page exhibiting video posts, and also the other audio posts.

What is the simpler method of carrying this out?

<div class="leftcol">
    <?php $args = array( 'post_type' => 'video_post' ); //select only posts of type 'video_post'
    $wp_query = new WP_Query($args);
    while ( have_posts() ) : the_post(); ?>
        <div class="post">
            <h3><?php the_title() ?></h3>
            <?php the_content() ?>
        </div>
    <?php endwhile; rewind_posts(); ?>
</div>

<div class="rightcol">
    <?php $args = array( 'post_type' => 'audio_post' ); //select only posts of type 'audio_post'
    $wp_query = new WP_Query($args);
    while ( have_posts() ) : the_post(); ?>
        <h2><?php the_title() ?></h2>
    <?php endwhile; rewind_posts(); ?>
</div>

I am presuming you need to do be aware of fundamentals of editing a style, but when not, just let them know! Alternatively, you could do this exactly the same factor using 'cat' rather than 'post_type' to split up you by category rather than two different kinds. I'd recommend using groups if you do not anticipate adding any other fields make it possible for your audio/video functionality.

I am unsure basically understood you well, however i would get it done with Icons using Widget Logic wordpress plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-logic/

If you wish to hardcode your template you may want to look into the query_posts() and totally reset_posts() finctions: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/query_posts

Are you aware using WordPress Codex? Are you aware the way the loop works? If so you might want to make use of the second way, otherwise try to get it done using the first option.

Best of luck, gezope
