Does anybody see anything wrong using what I'm doing here? I've not labored using the database expressions in Wordpress yet. All my code runs except after i start to try and add products to tables I've produced within the Wordpress database. Any info could be greatly appreciated. In my experience it appears this syntax is correct and really should run.

$wpdb->insert($wpdb->prefix . 'venue', array('event_id' => $event_id,
                                    'event_date' => $event_date,
                                    'venue_name' => $venue_name,
                                    'venue_city' => $venue_city,
                                    'ticket_url' => $ticket_url,
                                    'event_url' => $event_url),
                                array(%d, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s) );

Thank you.

UPDATE!: There appears to become an problem hooking up towards the Wordpress database from inside an AJAX call. I'm using jQuery to call a php file and seeking this inside the PHP file. This doesn't appear to operate as maybe the $wpdb class is outdoors from the scope?

if(!isset($wpdb)){
$wpdb = new wpdb("user","pass","mydb",localhost);
}

Check it out with this particular code on the top?

The values within the array that contains the fieldtypes ought to be between ' and '.

To ensure that would become:

array('%d', '%s', '%s', '%s', '%s', '%s')

Rather than:

array(%d, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s)

Hope this is often of help for other people getting this issue.
