I've self-located word-press Blog, and i'm creating a static home-page for this site according to jQuery. So, I needed to show some content from the blog , during my webpage ( in icons ) , like a news section

For instance , I might fetch

  • latest 5 posts game titles &lifier contents
  • Or perhaps a specific page content ( via passing page id )
  • Or perhaps a specific publish ( via passing publish id )

The same is true Wordpress include any PHP file , that shows the posts contents as plain text, or HTML ??

I figured about fetching the Blog's RSS , then show it around the page,
however the RSS does not supply the full content from the publish.

Thanks ahead of time

Whether it's located on a single server, you can integrate wordpress to your application by including wp-blog-header.php, after which call get_posts(), using setup_postdata().

For instance:

 <ul>
 <?php
 global $post;
 $tmp_post = $post;
 $myposts = get_posts('numberposts=5&offset=1&category=1');
 foreach($myposts as $post) :
   setup_postdata($post);
 ?>
    <li><a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>"><?php the_title(); ?></a></li>
 <?php endforeach; ?>
 <?php $post = $tmp_post; ?>
 </ul>

Have a look at Yahoo! Pipes.
